History and Mission

The Department of Arabic Language and Literature was established in 1997 at the undergraduate level with the recruitment of the first faculty of Dr. Seyed Haidar Farah Shirazi. First, it started its activity in the bachelor's degree, then in 1390, with the launch of the master's degree, and in 1393, it continued its activity. Currently, this field is engaged in its educational and research activities with 7 faculty members in three educational levels (bachelor, master and doctorate).

Mission:

- Training specialized and committed forces

- Meeting the needs of centers, schools and research institutes in the region

- Familiarity with the Arabic language and literature of the Persian Gulf

- Strengthening cultural, commercial and literary relations with the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf

- Improving the quality of education and research in the region

- Playing a role in the international arena

- Expanding and deepening the research activities of the faculty members

- Holding national and international conferences

- Holding training workshops for students and enthusiasts

- Developing a plan to support joint scientific projects with foreign universities and international institutions

- Launching study courses in and out of the country for students and faculty members

- Attracting international students in master's and doctoral courses

- Scientific authority in the field of Persian Gulf studies
